Thread Lift

Provides a subtle but effective lifting of mild to moderate drooping of the neck tissue under local anaesthesia. Only tiny punctures are made so no stitches are required. The Serdev technique lifts the SMAS and secures it to bony tissue behind the ear and is quite different to other thread lift techniques.  Another effective technique employs Silhouette sutures.  Dr Prendergast determines the best option for you during a careful assessment.

Titan Skin Tightening

Using beams of infrared light, the Titan procedure stimulates and tightens collagen in the deep layer of skin and helps to reduce skin laxity. In experienced hands it is a safe and effective treatment for those who do not want to undergo any injectable or more invasive procedure. Three treatments at monthly intervals are typically required. Titan technology was developed in California and has recently become extremely popular in Ireland and the UK.

NEW KONTUR MD SKIN TIGHTENING

The latest in non-invasive skin tightening, Kontur MD is a sophisticated tunable multipolar radiofrequency device, developed by Carismed in Germany.  Using various handpieces, skin on the face or any part of the body is treated.  As the collagen in the deep dermis of the skin is heated, fibroblast stimulation and collagen fibre contraction creates gradual skin tightening over the course of six treatments.  The procedure is totally non-invasive, comfortable, and is associated only with mild redness that subsides within an hour or so.  Venus Medical was one of the first centres worldwide to use this technology and Dr Prendergast helped define the most appropriate parameters for best results in his capacity as scientific advisor for Carismed.

Fat Removal

Fatty bulges from under the chin and jawline are removed in one procedure during VASER Liposelection, or in a series of injectable treatments with Lipodissolve.  VASER has certain advantages over traditional liposuction, including better skin retraction.  Fat removal and skin tightening at the same time contribute to the beautiful results achievable with VASER on the neck.
